1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to TLP League (tlp-league.com). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TLP League platform, tournaments, ladders, leagues, content, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By registering an account, entering a tournament, or otherwise using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our associated Tournament Rules and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately cease using the platform. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you ("Player", "User", "you") and TLP League ("TLP", "we", "us", "our").
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
To participate in TLP League competitions, you must meet the following criteria:
- Age Requirements: You must be at least 15 years old. If you are under 18 years of age (a minor under Australian law), you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to register an account and participate in tournaments.
- Regional Eligibility: While certain events may be open globally, unless expressly stated otherwise, our tournaments primarily cater to participants within Australia, New Zealand, and the broader Oceanic (OCE) region. You are responsible for ensuring your internet connection and ping meet the competitive requirements of the tournament.
- Account Integrity: You must provide accurate, current, and complete details during registration. You may not share, sell, or transfer your TLP League account to any other person. You are entirely responsible for all activities occurring under your account.
- Smurfing & Alternate Accounts: Each player is strictly limited to one (1) active TLP League account. Multi-accounting, smurfing, or ringing (playing on behalf of another user) will result in immediate disqualification and a potential lifetime ban.
3. Tournament Participation & Fair Play
TLP League is committed to providing a fair, transparent, and competitive environment. By entering any tournament or ladder, you agree to abide by the specific game rules published for that event, as well as the following universal standards:
- Anti-Cheat & Exploits: The use of third-party software, hacks, scripts, aimbots, wallhacks, glitches, or unauthorised modifications of any game client is strictly prohibited. TLP League reserves the right to require players to run designated anti-cheat software, provide match demos/recordings (POVs), or submit to verification checks.
- Code of Conduct: We have zero tolerance for toxic behaviour, harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, or unsportsmanlike conduct directed toward other players, match officials, or TLP League staff.
- Match Fixing & Bribery: Any attempt to collude, fix matches, deliberately throw rounds, or offer/accept bribes will lead to an immediate ban and may be referred to relevant law enforcement and esports integrity bodies.
- Roster Locks & Substitutions: Team captains are responsible for ensuring that all players on their active roster are registered on the platform prior to the event's roster lock. Emergency substitutions must be cleared by a TLP League tournament administrator prior to match commencement.
4. Entry Fees, Payments & Australian Consumer Law
Certain tournaments, leagues, or premium features on tlp-league.com may require the payment of entry fees or subscription costs.
- Currency & Processing: All fees are stated and charged in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless explicitly specified otherwise. You authorise TLP League and our third-party payment gateways to charge your selected payment method.
- Refunds: Tournament entry fees are generally non-refundable once the tournament bracket has been generated or registration has closed. If a tournament is cancelled in its entirety by TLP League without rescheduling, entry fees will be refunded to your original payment method or credited to your platform balance.
- Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other applicable Australian consumer protection laws that cannot be lawfully excluded.
5. Prizes, Payouts & Taxation
Prize pools advertised for TLP League tournaments are distributed in accordance with the following terms:
- Verification: Prior to the release of any prize money or physical prizes, winning teams and players must undergo identity, residency, and anti-cheat verification. Failure to provide valid identification (such as Australian driver's licence or passport) upon request within thirty (30) days will result in forfeiture of the prize.
- Distribution: Prizes will be disbursed to the team captain or individually to rostered players, depending on the tournament structure, within sixty (60) business days following the conclusion of the event and completion of verification.
- Taxes & Deductions: Winners are solely responsible for any applicable local taxes, income reporting, bank transfer fees, or currency conversion charges associated with their prize receipt.
6. Media, Broadcasting & Intellectual Property
TLP League actively broadcasts, records, and creates content around competitive matches.
- Broadcast Rights: TLP League reserves exclusive broadcast, streaming, and recording rights for all matches played on our platform. Players may not stream their tournament matches unless explicitly permitted in the specific tournament rules or authorised in writing by TLP League. When personal streaming is permitted, players must adhere to mandatory stream delay requirements.
- Likeness & Publicity: By participating, you grant TLP League a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use your in-game name (IGN), team logo, voice, likeness, match statistics, and gameplay footage for promotional, marketing, and broadcast purposes across all media channels.
- Platform IP: All trademarks, logos, website designs, text, graphics, and software associated with tlp-league.com are the intellectual property of TLP League or our licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission.
7. Disqualification, Bans & Penalties
TLP League tournament administrators have the final say on all match disputes, interpretations of rules, and disciplinary actions. Penalties may include, but are not limited to:
- Round, map, or match forfeitures;
- Deduction of prize money or ladder points;
- Temporary suspension from platform activities and tournaments;
- Permanent account termination and ban from all current and future TLP League events.
Administrative rulings are made at the sole discretion of TLP League staff to uphold the competitive integrity of our competitions.
8. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers
TLP League provides the platform and tournaments on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:
- We do not warrant that our Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or technical defects (including server downtime, game patch interference, or ISP disruptions).
- TLP League is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or hardware damage arising out of your participation in tournaments or inability to access the platform.
- TLP League is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the game developers or publishers whose titles are featured on our platform, unless expressly stated. All game titles, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective copyright holders.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales, Australia. You irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts operating in New South Wales and any courts competent to hear appeals from them for the resolution of any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms.
10. Variations to Terms
We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via announcement on tlp-league.com or through our official Discord and social channels. Your continued use of the platform after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
